Agent 13 (Rupert Wyatt)

''There are few international filmmakers in the world who have had the same level of success with the United States debut than Rupert Wyatt. After a decade of producing films in the UK, the English filmmaker crossed the pond to make Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the result was phenomenal. Wyatt quickly catapulted himself onto multiple "directors to watch" lists and his name has been mentioned in connection with multiple in-development projects since. While it's still not 100% clear what his next project can be, he has just added a big new project to his upcoming schedule.

Variety reports that Wyatt has signed on to direct Agent 13, a movie that has also brought on Charlize Theron to star. While the movie is described as falling into the sci-fi/action genre, plot details aren't available as of yet. Based on a script by T.S. Nolan, the project has already become a hot commodity. Just about every major studio, including Sony, Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal and 20th Century Fox, are going after the title, but the trade doesn't really give a clear picture of where things stand. The movie will only be Wyatt's second venture into the science-fiction genre after Rise of the Planet of the Apes, as his previous films have included the crime thriller The Escapist and the musical Subterrain.

As much as I like the idea of talented people like Wyatt and Theron teaming up for a project, I also can't forget that the last time the South African actress made a sci-fi action film the result was Aeon Flux. But this one just has to be better...right?''
