La Terza Madre / Mother of Tears (2007, Dario Argento)

J'aimerais surtout savoir ou il serait le plus facile de se les procurer et quest ce que vous en pensez.

Il va être difficile de ce procurer le 3iem car il n'existe tout simplement pas, malgré que Argento a prévue de terminer ca trilogie. La meilleur facon de ce les procurer est via internet sur un site de commande.

Comme l'a mentionné Bloodsplash, La trilogie des trois mères de Dario Argento n'est pas encore complétée.

Il s'agit des films suivant:

Suspiria (1977)
Inferno (1980)
Mother Of Tears (tournage débute en 2006)

Tout dépendant où tu habites, tu peux facilement te procurer les deux films dans des magasins de DVD. Par contre, les commander en ligne est la façon la plus simple.

Tu demande à un video de films rare ou HMV de les faire venir et ils te les vendront. Ils sont pas dur à trouver!!

Suspiria et Inferno.

Et le 3ème risque de ne jamais voir le jour, ça fait plus d'une décennie que Argento nous le promet et à la place nous donne des nanars plus que poche pour un réalisateur de sa trempe (Phantom of the Opera, Stendahl Syndrome, Jenifer dans les ''Masters of Horror'' pour ne citer que ceux ci). Pourtant il est encore capable de faire de très bon films tel Suspiria, Opera, Trauma, Phenomena, Deep Rep, Bird with the crystal plummage et j'en passe, dire que plusieurs le voyaient comme le nouveau Alfred Hitchock durant les années 70-80!! Ishhh on est loin de ce temps maintenant!!

Dans ses films de fin de carrière, Sleepless est exellent.

Argento a engagé les deux scénaristes de Toolbox Murders (2005) et Mortuary (2006) pour l'aider à écrire le scénario du troisième chapitre. Le film est plus près de voir le jour qu'on ne le crois

Y'a rien de commencé encore parce que IMDB le confirme quand un film est en cours ou même juste en pourparler, imagine on est surement loin de ça si y'a rien de confirmé encore !!

Effectivement, je n'ai pas vue ce Card Player et selon les critiques ce n'est pas fameux mais attention ce n'est pas sont dernier film. Sont plus récent est Do you like Hitchcock ? (2005). Pour Sleepless je ne peut que te le conseiller car Argento ce rend hommage a merveille avec une B.O sensationel signé Goblin. Le DVD de Zone 1 par exemple est recadré et censuré, je me suis procurer le Zone 2 Anglais double DVD Uncut avec en bonus le documentaire Argento : An eye for horror.

Il ne faut pas toujours se fier à 100% à IMDB ...

Pour ce qui est de The Card Player, moi j'ai trouvé ça pas si pire. On est loin des Argento classiques, mais le film est divertissant. Mes attentes étaeint très basses, c'est peut-être la raison pourquoi je l'ai un peu apprécié.

The good news came down a while back that Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson, screenwriters of Tobe Hooper's Toolbox Murders among other goodies, would be handling scripting duties for the next Dario Argentio movie, the long-promised third "mothers" movie.

Things have been pretty quiet since that initial announcement, but I caught up with Adam at the Slither (review) premiere last night and he revealed the good news that the script is finished and ready to go. "This film has everything for horror fans, witches, demons, killer monkeys..." he promised "Plus we got to go to Rome and hang out with Dario Argento!"

He also revealed tha the project is now on its third title, "First it was going to be called the Third Mother but that only means something to a small hand full of die hard horror fans." Adam said, "Then Dario wanted to call it the Mother of Tears, but again that just doesn't sound like a horror film. Yesterday Dario called me up and said he had a new title in mind, Exhumed. Which is cool but that is also the name of a death metal band. My guess is it will most likely change again."

Currently Adam and Jace are re-writing a draft of Clive Barker's Dread for the big screen. Keep it here for more news on that and the new Mothers movie very soon!

pour le moment Argento démarre le tournage d'un deuxième épisode pour masters of horror (tourné à Vancouver à partir du 18 avril) et le tournage du tant attendu "La Terza Madre" est prévu pour le mois de Septembre...

MOTHER OF TEARS : Retour au Giallo

- Présent sur la croisette actuellement, Dario Argento en a profité pour annoncer son prochain long métrage. Mother of Tears viendra clôturer la trilogie des "Trois Mères" du maitre italien de l'horreur. Après Suspiria et Inferno, Argento est donc prêt à revenir aux sources dans cette histoire de sorcières et de suicides.

This movie is a big budget feature, produced by medusa along with a major american company. It’s a sort of diabolical sequel to suspiria and inferno set in rome, with eerie creatures and a race against time in the way of dan brown’s 'angels and demons'.

Immediately after finishing work on the third mother, dario has been signed by another major american company to start shooting another big budget movie.

ca va faire une belle pub quand ca va sortir ca, ils vont encore nous ressortir des versions DVD.

L'actor Studio reconnaisse meme pas Dario Argento, putain quand ils ont recue Jennifer Connelly, ils ont parlés de tout ses films même d'un film ou elle apparait 10 secondes et pas celui la, c'est du n'importe quoi!

Même si un topic a déjà été entammé dans la section critique express, je crois bon de poursuivre toute discussion à propos du film dans cette section-ci. Je posterai donc ici toutes nouvelles importantes concernant Mother of tears et nous pourrons en discuter.

Désolé pour ceux qui ne sont pas familier avec la langue anglaise mais voici plusieurs informations intéressantes sur le film. En passant, l'auteur de ces lignes est Alan Jones, qui a écrit deux livres et réalisé un documentaire sur Dario Argento.

MOTHER OF TEARS - THE TRUTH
BEWARE THERE IS A LOT OF PLOT INFORMATION HERE!

Alan Jones writes:

"Hi, Nick. Just back from Cannes where I picked up the MOTHER OF TEARS script. And you know something it’s actually very good. The credits on the screenplay read Jace Anderson, Dario Argento and Adam Gierasch in that order. I have no intention of revealing anything too major in the following synopsis so you don’t need to worry.

Set in modern-day Rome, it begins with the church grave of legendary occult fighter Oscar de la Vallee being unearthed by bulldozers. Chained to the coffin by crucifixes is an urn that is sent to Rome museum art restoration student Sarah Mandy (Sienna Miller in talks to play the part according to Cannes hype).

Unsealing the urn with her friend Giselle she finds a red satin robe encrusted with jewels, a golden dagger and three demonic terracotta figures. They all belong to the Mother of Tears (Mater Lachrymarum as per De Quincey, spelt Lachrimarum in the script) reborn through Giselle cutting her finger while opening up the urn. The three deformed demons spring to life and eviscerate Giselle, garrotting her with her own intestines, in a spectacular set piece clearly meant to rival the SUSPIRIA opening.

This puts Sarah on the run from occult forces through a panic-stricken Rome, awash in a rash of crime and suicides, to uncover the truth about her mysterious spiritual past, and face the cruellest Mother of all at the vast Palazzo Varelli. The story is full of marvellous moments (the Mother of Tears bleeds jewels that scorch the skin), outrageous gore (one character becomes a demonic buffet while still alive, someone gets chopped pieces, assorted deaths by medieval torture instruments) and terrific special effects (the Mother licking the tears off crying faces with a giant tongue, Sarah’s guardian angel appearing in powder blown from a compact).

It connects to SUSPIRIA and INFERNO in very intriguing ways – the Tanz Akademie students, ornate wall decorations revealing secret passages, and the pivotal clue “What you see doesn’t exist and what you can’t see is truth”. And there’s even a crazed PHENOMENA monkey too!

What really scares me about the picture is its sheer scale. Although it’s now an Italian Medusa and Myriad Pictures co-production (the latter American company made JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 and the current FACTORY GIRL – with Sienna Miller), it’s going to need a lot of money behind it. There’s an elaborate animated ancient text sequence for a start, not to mention the huge Cinecitta sets, and many (Sergio Stivalettii?) scenes that will require extensive CGI augmentation – psychic hallucinations, the demons, a flaming telephone cable stretching for miles, the number of extras involved from the covens of witches gathering in Rome to the ultimate orgy.

None of this is going to be cheap and it will all have to look as epic and gorgeous as the two prior films in the trilogy. Despite a rather formula narrative – every time Sarah is given vital information the informant is horrifically killed in the next scene – the set pieces are just incredible. My favourite being the MOT walking down a wall as her bejewelled robe casts primary colour reflections on her amassed worshippers. Oh dear, I’m getting quite excited about the MOTHER OF TEARS. All the material is definitely there, lets hope Dario can pull his long-awaited sequel off."

Après avoir vu comme Argento maitrise encore son art avec l'excellent Non Ho Sonno (Sleepless) et le très correcte The Card Player, on devrait avoir droit à un excellent film selon moi!!
